BJ Boles was born in Charleston, South Carolina. BJ grew up in Georgia and claims the south as home. He graduated High School from Georgia Cumberland Academy and went on to Southern Adventist University where he received a B.S. degree in Behavioral Science, B.A. degrees in Psychology and Religion, and a minor in Biblical Languages. He completed his Masters of Divinity degree with an emphasis in Chaplain Ministries from the Theological Seminary at Andrews University in 1997. BJ was ordained to the Gospel Ministry in 1999.
Pastor Boles enjoys outreach and mission projects and has gone on International mission trips to some nine different countries. He also spent a year as a missionary in Santiago, Chile, where he taught English and worked with the youth. Before becoming the Senior Pastor at Augusta First SDA Church in 2007, Pastor Boles had served as pastor of various congregations in Georgia (Calhoun and Atlanta) and Tennessee (Knoxville, Halls Crossroads, Kingsport and Bristol). Most recently Pastor Boles served as an Evangelist conducting Prophecy Seminars around the SouthEast.
BJ loves teaching and preaching about Jesus and finds nothing more exciting in life than seeing someone accept Christ.
Pastor Boles and his lovely wife Mygdalia have a son Westin.
